1st DAY: ORADEA-CLUJ NAPOCA-BISTRITA
Arrival at the Romanian-Hungarian frontier of Oradea (Bors) till 12.00, encounter with the local assistant -BEGINNING OF SERVICES- and departure for Bistrita, stopping in the city of Cluj Napoca. Short sightseeing tour of the city (built by the roman soldiers) admiring the Orthodox Cathedral, departure towards Bistrita. Dinner and accomodation in hotel.
2nd DAY: BISTRITA–MONASTERIES OF BUCOVINA-PIATRA NEAMT
Breakfast and departure for the monasteries of Bucovina, patrimony of UNESCO. Visits will be made at the following monasteries: Moldovita from 1532 (famous all over the world for its frescos “The Last Judgment” and “The Siege of Constantinopole”), Sucevita from 1581 (built by one of the most important Moldavian noble families “The Movila”), Voronet (the true jewel of Bucovina from 1488 with its memorable blue natural color). Lunch in a restaurant at Sucevita, dinner and accomodation in hotel.
3rd DAY: PIATRA NEAMT-BICAZ GORGES-SIGHISOARA
Breakfast and departure for Sighisoara with a short stop at the “Red Lake” and “Bicaz Gorges”, on one of the most picturesque roads of Romania. Lunch in a restaurant at Miercurea Ciuc and departure for Sighisoara, the best-preserved medieval city of Transylvania, visiting the Clock Tower (13th century), the Orthodox Cathedral, the long wooden set of stairs (well-preserved up until today), which leads to the peak of the citadel and the birth-place of the Count Dracula. Time off at your disposal. Dinner and accomodation in hotel.
4th DAY: SIGHISOARA-BRAN-BRASOV-PREDEAL
Breakfast and departure for Bran, visiting “Dracula’s Castle”. Lunch in a restaurant on the way and departure towards Brasov (1271). Visit at the fortresses of the medieval city with its Black Church in gothic style. Afternoon off, shopping on the Lovers’ Street and arrival in the evening at Predeal. Dinner and accomodation in hotel. -evening off at your disposal-
5th DAY: PREDEAL–SINAIA-BUCHAREST
Breakfast and visit of Sinaia (beautiful mountain resort sorrounded by the Carpathians) with its Monastery and the “Peles Castle”, one of the most beautiful for its Renaissance style (Italian, English, rococo, baroque, Moorish). Departure for Bucharest, lunch in restaurant, sightseeing tour of the capital visiting the Palace of the Parliament (ex House of the People of Ceausescu), the Patriarchal Church and the History Museum. Folk Dinner in a tipical Romanian restaurant, drinks included, (as a supplement), night tour and accomodation in hotel.
6th DAY: BUCHAREST-CURTEA DE ARGES-SIBIU
Breakfast and departure for Sibiu with a short stop at Curtea de Arges (capital of 14th century), visiting the Curtea de Arges Monastery. Lunch in restaurant and departure for the village of Sibiel, visiting on the way the Monastery of Cozia and the Museum of Icons on Glass. Dinner among the colors of Transylvania, drinks included, and accomodation in hotel in Sibiu.
7th DAY: SIBIU-ARAD-NADLAC
Breakfast and short sightseeing tour of the saxon medieval city of Sibiu and departure towards the Romanian-Hungarian frontier of Arad (Nadlac) for the returning to your home country. -END OF SERVICES-
